missingWrote a review on 23 Janclean poolvaried breakfastlow pressuretrain noisemaintenance issues
The pool area offers clean facilities and a well-stocked mini bar at reasonable prices. The breakfast is varied, featuring local and international options, including freshly made eggs and a nice selection of fruit juices.
Water pressure in the bathroom can be low, and there’s an unpleasant odor coming from the faucet. The noise from passing trains can be heard early in the morning, and maintenance issues like a noisy ceiling fan and stained mattresses were notable. Arriving can be tricky due to a narrow access path from the main road.

I loved the lovely big pool and friendly staff, but the trains were pretty noisy at times. The vegetarian breakfast was a real treat though!

the stay was pretty good. staff were super friendly and always tried to help out. loved the big balcony and the clean pool was nice for a chill time. fresh fruits at breakfast were a sweet bonus too. tuk-tuk service to the beach was easy and quick.
but there was a lot of noise from the trains passing by, and the power went out a couple of times due to storms.

Is it hype or the real deal?
The attentive staff truly elevated our stay, making us feel valued and welcomed during our four nights here! ! Our spacious Queen Room exuded charm, offering a perfect tranquil environment for our family.
While the ambiance is delightful, the proximity to the railway means train noises can disrupt the serenity of the experience. the location is a bit distant from the beach, requiring extra travel time.

Lovely spot with amazing vibes
Wow, this place is stunning! The garden pool is super chill and the huge balcony in our room was a plus. The staff were so friendly, like a big family, and the outdoor dining area had some yummy food. Just a little noisy with the trains passing by now and then, but totally worth it!

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Sandali Walauwa. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and warmth made us feel incredibly welcome. The staff were so kind and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was peaceful with great views, and we enjoyed lovely sunsets at the nearby beach.
The balcony door could use better soundproofing.

Just a solid selection for a weekend in Bentota with extraordinarily good value for money. The pool is well-kept and nicely lit at night. Bring earplugs because the nearby train noise can be loud at times.
